Harros, the Vassal
The shell the game hands you first — and a fair teacher.
What we know
Harros is the prologue Shell. You possess him before the Tar Golem fight, and the game uses him to teach hardening, stamina-free trading, and riposte timing. His stats sit in the middle of the roster, which makes him a safe pick until you find something that fits your habits better.
Where to find Harros
Given automatically during the prologue, before Tar Golem.
The interactive map tracks this location with area notes and a collection checkbox.
Ability
Standard harden with no special modifier in the beta build. His value is predictability: harden mid-combo, finish the swing, reset.
How Harros plays
Play him like a mid-weight knight. Commit to a swing, harden through the counterattack, then finish. He has no gimmick to lean on, so he rewards learning enemy timings — which is exactly what the prologue wants from you.

Field notes
- Use the prologue to practice hardening mid-swing. It costs nothing and carries to every other Shell.
- Don't rush off Harros at the first opportunity — switching Shells resets your feel for timing windows.
- Tar Golem is the test: if you can no-hit its first phase with Harros, you're ready for the open region.
Questions players ask
Do I have to keep using Harros?
No. Once you reach the open region you can hunt Tiel in Mushroom Village. But Harros stays viable through the whole beta.
Does Harros have a unique ability?
Nothing beyond standard hardening has been observed in the beta build. If the full game adds one, this page will be updated.
