What carries over
Playing the Open Beta unlocks the Flayed Harbinger cosmetic reward for the full game. Players who progress beyond Marrow Keep also unlock the option to skip the prologue after launch. These are the two documented progression-related benefits.
What resets
Steam explicitly says beta save progress does not carry over in full. Currency, weapons, Shells, collectibles, and other items discovered during the beta reset at launch. Do not spend extra time farming them under the assumption that the inventory will transfer.
What to finish before launch
Complete enough of the beta to secure the participation reward, then reach beyond Marrow Keep if you want the prologue-skip option. After that, focus on learning hardening, navigation, weapon timing, and performance settings because those skills are more likely to remain useful than a beta inventory.
How to prepare for the reset
Treat the August launch as a fresh save. Record any control or graphics settings that work well, bookmark routes you want to revisit, and avoid planning a build around exact beta balance. The public build is still being polished and patch notes can change boss or weapon behavior.
Full release
The official worldwide digital release is August 20, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The Devout Edition offers up to 72 hours of advanced access, while the standard release date remains August 20.
