Overview

Guard just before an enemy attack connects to trigger Perfect Guard. Consecutive Perfect Guards build Break, and a Broken enemy can be hit with a Riposte.
How Perfect Guard Works
Perfect Guard is a timing-based guard. Press guard just before impact instead of holding it early; the clean timing builds enemy Break without spending normal guard energy.
When To Riposte
After enough Break is applied, the enemy becomes vulnerable. Use the Riposte prompt quickly, because the opening is the point of the whole guard chain.
How To Practice
Practice against slow humanoids before bosses. If you panic-hold guard, you are training the wrong rhythm; release, reset, and time the next hit.
What To Pair It With
Use Seal pages, the equipment database, and the Shell comparator when deciding whether your run is guard-heavy, harden-heavy, or sidearm-heavy.
