Overview

Gloom is the beta's white upgrade currency. It is used at Beacons to level the Harbinger and can be dropped on death, so players should recover it and spend it regularly.
When to spend
Spend before risky dungeon or boss attempts so death does not threaten a large unspent pool.
How it differs from Tarstones
Gloom is not the same as Tarstone upgrades. Tarstones need their own data table.
Map tie-in
Beacon markers should become natural Gloom spending reminders.
Upgrade planning
Use the calculator as a spending guide before entering risky dungeons or boss attempts.
