Tiel is the one Shell you actively find in the beta. His corpse is in the Mushroom Village route, and possessing him swaps your game from trade-and-harden to dodge-and-burst. Low health, but you stop getting hit so often that it matters less than the stat sheet suggests.
Stay off the harden button and play spacing instead. Dodge through swings, punish recovery, and leave before the second enemy arrives. Tiel makes group fights in the village manageable because you choose every engagement.
